Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his roles on the popular television show 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. His passion for acting started during his college years. He completed his acting studies at University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been active on film and television however it is his roles in the smaller screen which brought him fame and a large admirers. This is not surprising since he has been able grab the attention of viewers by playing characters on both sides of the law. He was the character of the serial killer on the first TV show he appeared in and then later played of an NYPD detective. His performances on small screens have been recognized with multiple Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. The most striking of his facial features is said to be his piercing blue eyes that have been instrumental in his portrayal of characters that appear rough and fascinating. In 2006, he appeared in People's publication's Sexiest Men Alive list.
